This article will show you how to connect your Bose Soundlink Bluetooth speakers to an iPhone or Android phone. Nearly all Bose Soundlink speakers use the same Bluetooth pairing method. Although the placement of the Bluetooth icon may vary from one device to another, the icon remains the same.

How to pair a Bose Soundlink speaker

Start by connecting your Soundlink speaker to the wall with a wall charger.

  1. Press the power icon on the speaker. If the power indicator is orange, the battery needs to be charged. If it is orange, the battery is half-full. Green means that the battery has reached its maximum capacity.
  2. When the Bluetooth speaker is turned on, it should enter connecting mode.
  3. To change the language, tap on the Minus (+) or Plus (+) icons. Scroll through the options by tapping the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons.
  4. Pair your phone’s Bluetooth settings with this app:
    • For iOS devices, go to Settings > Bluetooth. Tap the Bluetooth toggle switch green. Under My Devices, select Bose Soundlink.
    • Android devices: Open Settings > Connected Devices > Connection preferences > Tap the Bluetooth toggle switch green/on. Tap Pair New Device > choose Bose Soundlink.
  5. When it’s ready for connection, the Bluetooth light will blink blue. When it is in the process of connecting, it will blink white. It will then appear solid white once it has connected to a device.
